About Us
- Baratta Law PLLC helps companies protect inventions and brands through patent and trademark preparation, prosecution, and portfolio management. We represent clients before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and coordinate international protection through trusted foreign associates.
- Our team combines legal experience with technical depth in electrical engineering, computer science, and mechanical engineering, with particular strength in software. Our work spans networking and wireless communications; cybersecurity and cryptography; cloud and software as a service (SaaS) platforms; signal processing, integrated circuits, and semiconductors; and artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- We work closely with inventors and business leaders to understand complex technologies, identify commercially significant innovations, and develop patent applications that reflect both the invention and its business value.

- We manage patent and trademark portfolios from planning and filing through examination, issuance or registration, maintenance, and ongoing review. Our clients range from startups seeking investment to multi-billion dollar public companies, including one our attorneys have advised since its earliest filings.
